A publication that specializes in reviews and critical discussion of children's and young adult literature is The Horn Book Magazine. It focuses specifically on evaluating and analyzing books for young readers, with regular reviews of picture books, middle-grade, and teen titles, plus scholarly essays on trends, representation, and craft in the field. This dedicated focus on literary critique for children’s and YA literature makes it the best fit.

Knowledge Quest centers on school library topics and information literacy for educators and librarians. School Library Journal covers a broad range of library-related news, trends, and reviews, not solely literary criticism. School Libraries Worldwide discusses librarianship from a global perspective. While these publications may include reviews, they aren’t devoted to in-depth critical discussions of children’s and YA literature the way The Horn Book Magazine is.
